‘Love Divine – set the captives free’ is the fulfilment of a vision to provide today’s church with powerful, God-centred worship songs that will stir people into a deeper relationship with God.

The Songs
The majority of the songs on this album have been previously released on studio recordings over the past three years and as such have been taken up and used by the wider church around the world. We therefore wanted to record them in a live, congregational setting and to capture the move of the Spirit that so often
accompanies worship as a community.

The Resource
An important part of the vision to stir people’s
hearts is to make the songs accessible to the wider church and so we have created some acoustic audio
files simply using an acoustic guitar and one-vocal lead. Our hope is that this will inspire worship leaders everywhere to learn, use and lead others in worship through these songs and to give these
songs away to others.

The Heart
We didn’t just want this album to be a delivery vehicle of songs – we wanted to express the heart of who we are in Christ. One of Christ’s greatest concerns was for the weak, the poor and the victims of injustice and so we have chosen to use this album to bring attention to modern day slavery given that it is being released 200 years after the outlawing of the slave trade. Vineyard Records UK are members of the STOP THE TRAFFIK coalition as well as being actively involved in working in Ukraine, currently one of the primary sources of women and children sex slaves.
