Song Story:

I wrote this song thinking about psalm 95 and how the psalmist invites us to come and worship and then says why. He writes “for He is the great God and the great King above all gods, in HIs hands are the depths of the earth…”. I love it! It’s like he is saying, “worship because of this reason and this reason”. So victory in his hands does a similar thing, the verse is a call to “praise the Lord” but the chorus starts with the same two words as the psalm, “for He…”. Worship is a response to God, to who He is and what He is like, i wanted to capture that in this song.
